MONTHLY MEETING

Please plan on joining us on Tuesday, April 29, 2014  for "Anoatomy of a LEED Lighting Design", presented by Ardra Paige Zinkon is the President of TecStudio.

Description

So many times, seminars on LEED and LEED projects tend to be about the scorecard and the ultimate goal of point collection (what a snore-fest!).  Whether you are working on a LEED project or just a “green project”, thoughtful lighting design strategies are needed to ensure the project can meet the energy efficiency goals. This presentation will provide in-depth understanding of two different real-world projects and how the reduced lighting power densities were achieved in multiple space types.  The following projects will be reviewed and the design considerations will be shared in depth on the techniques created for both the Hilton Downtown Columbus (LEED Gold) and Garfield Heights Library (LEED Silver). This presentation will include a discussion on sources used, daylighting techniques, and control system design and strategy.
